Did you know that there was a 6 o'clock in the MORNING too? I know, big surprise, right?!! LOL!!! I have no one to blame but myself, by the way, for this either. Mims could have gone to the school right by our house that we could have walked to, but no-ho-ho-ho I wanted her transferred to the school that my mom works at. On a good day, with no traffic, it takes 15 minutes to get there. Right now, there's road construction and a ton of traffic...
So, we're getting up extra early to get to school on time, and it's totally worth it because Mims has a fantastic teacher this year that she adores.
Which is why this post is extra early.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who generously gave me their opinions about whether or not to open an online boutique to sell my samples. I think that the thought and consideration that you gave in your answers was priceless and incredibly valuable. I think that I may to a combination of things to see what is the most rewarding for me and my family. I am excited to be sharing this journey with all of you. ReplyDeleteI am all too familiar with the 6 o' clock hour that happens in the morning. Even though I'm homeschooled, Dad insists on waking us up at 6:30. We don't do school on Fridays, so I call that Sleep-in Day! :D
Your dad sounds a lot like what my dad was like when I was a teenager... I think it brought him great joy to wake me up at ridiculously early hours... LOL!!!

I probably shouldn't encourage your completely bizarre and totally immoral habits, but... have you considered just staying up all night and sleeping while Mims is in school? (It's 6:30 pm right now, I'm fixin' to go to bed. Amos and his father will be up till midnight watching 50's horror movies.) I've never understood why school *has* to start early in the morning, you'd think someone would have decided there were enough non-morning kids out there to have a nice 10am - 4pm school day or something. (I'd call it "home schooling" if it weren't for Kaleigh's obviously sadistic father!)

DeleteI would totally stay up, but that's how PAL rolls. He works 2nd shift, so he doesn't get home until 3 or so. Someone's got to be awake to pick her up at noon. LOL!!! It's like being the designated driver at a party every day...

ReplyDeleteThe pipe cleaner ideal is great. Just make sure not to use them on the little ones because they have wire in them. It is sharp and has a point that can hurt them very bad. Very bad for the eyes.
